Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship: Remote access

The Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management LibGuide contains information about the Unisa Llibrary's resources (books, databases, multimedia, etc) and online resources that are relevant to these subject disciplines and include relevant user manuals.

Remote Access to articles

The login procedure to access Library resources uses a JASIG Central Authentication Service (CAS) single sign-on for students and staff.

If you did a search on Campus and saved a reference, you won’t be able to access it again from off campus except if you change the link to include the CAS authentication

•Clients using the library databases off campus have to be authenticated as legitimate library users.
•To ensure this they have to access the Library via the CAS sign-on.
•Students need to register on myUnisa for a login name and password to access the library.
•Staff use their network login to gain remote access.
•Thus links to articles searched on campus need to be adapted for you to be able to access it remotely:

Persistent link to this record (Permalink):  http://search.ebscohost.com./login.aspx?direct=true&db=bth&AN=67714336&site=ehost-live&scope=site

Change the link by inserting 0- directly after the // and oasis.unisa.ac.za directly before the first /

http://0-search.ebscohost.com.oasis.unisa.ac.za/login.aspx?direct=true&db=bth&AN=67714336&site=ehost-live&scope=site

By inserting these components in the URL you will be able to access the article you initially searched on campus, from home or remotely. If you don't do this step you will get a dead link.
