Database on trial until 23 September: Policy Commons

The Unisa Library is offering trial access to the following new database: Policy Commons

Policy Commons is an online discovery service which is an one-stop platform housing objective research and information from a number of the world's leading think tanks, policy experts, NGO's and more. Policy Commons offers a robust and searchable directory with detailed entries for 21,000 think tanks, research institutes including  UNICEF, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Africa Institute of South Africa, Council of Europe, Education Sub-Saharan Africa, Rand Corporation, ITU, IISS, Chatham House and many more.

Over 100,000 preserved documents from just under 350 organisations which have disappeared can be accessed in the database. Every record has its own persistent identifier, and where possible, saved copies preserve these materials for the future.

Types of documents included are: policy reports, briefs, analyses, research and working papers, charts, media, case studies and datasets from thousands of policy organizations.

Trial access is available until 23 September 2021 from the Unisa Library A-Z web page or through the direct link here: https://0-policycommons-net.oasis.unisa.ac.za/
