Transformative agreements; migrating scholarly communication: Wiley Online & Hindawi Journals

The Unisa Library signed an agreement with Wiley Online for the gold open access publication of articles in Wiley and Hindawi journals, The agreement commenced from January 2022 for the period 2022 - 2025.

Corresponding authors affiliated with the University of South Africa may publish open access in any Wiley hybrid (subscription-based journals) and in an any Wiley and Hindawi fully open access journal at no cost to the author. In terms of this agreement authors may publish open access in the majority of Wiley and Hindawi journals without paying Article Publication Charges (APC's)

Wiley provides extensive support material for authors on their Wiley Author Services web pages. 

Eligible authors are:

• the responsible corresponding author for the article.
• be affiliated with the University of South Africa and declare that in the Author Submission workflow system. 
• Publish open access in a hybrid Wiley journal that offers open access, or a fully open access Wiley or Hindawi journal.
• Article should be primary research or a review article.
• Article should be submitted after 1 January 2023
