Tips

To find e-books related to your music studies, do the following: go to the library catalogue search interface; in the window to the left change the title default to keyword; use a broad keyword describing your field of interest, for example classical music; in the window to the right, change the View Entire Collection default to E-Books, and click search. E-Books retrieved will include online handbooks and encyclopaedias, many of which can be downloaded by chapter or entry. 

Online renewals of print books may be done on the library catalogue,

telephonic renewals at   +27 12 4294164 or with assistance at the lending desk.

 Postgraduate students may loan 16 books. Undergraduate students may loan 8 books.

Overdue books will be subject to a fine.

These ebook databases are recommended for Music Studies.

Prescribed and Recommended Books

Prescribed books need to be purchased by the student. Limited copies are housed in the Unisa libraries and may be borrowed, subject to each branch library's lending regulation. A list of Unisa's official booksellers may be found on myUNISA as well as in myStudies@Unisa.

Recommended books may be loaned from the library. These books may be found by module code on Find course reading material  and are available in in the library .
