Databases on your mobile device

Databases (or e-resources) covering a wide range of subject areas are available via our Library's webpage.

Databases cover many types of resources: books, journal articles, case law, newspapers, encyclopedias and dictionaries.

You can access many of these databases via mobile friendly websites or apps.

 

Database Apps

Mobile apps can be downloaded form your app store. A few examples of mobile database apps: 

Gale AccessMyLibrary 

Install the app on your device and open the app. Search for Library Type >> Academic and select country

  1. Tap Find My Library (Apple) or Locate Libraries (Android)

  2. Select Nova Scotia Community College

  3. Select Retrieve Password (Apple) or Get Password (Android), enter your school issued email address and touch Submit

  4. The password will be emailed to you.

  5. On your device, go back to the password screen, enter the password from your email

Mobile Friendly Databases

Many databases are optimized for mobile access.

If a database is not displaying correctly on your mobile device, search in your app store for the database app.
