According to UNESCO, Open Educational Resources (OER) is any type of educational resource material that is accessible in the public domain or introduced via an open licence.  The nature of these open materials means that anyone can legally and freely copy, use adapt and reshare them.  These materials can be accessed via any of the following formats:
