The content of the Guide includes the following:

  • The content and usage of the UnisaIR. 
  • The concept of Open Access to scholarly information and  copyright issues applicable to the Institutional Repository.
  • Links to other repositories within and beyond the Unisa Library and Information Services are also included.

Group and individual training sessions about using the UnisaIR, are offered throughout the year. Please contact your Personal Librarians for more details about scheduled training sessions.

Is it your first submission?

Before you start your submission, you have to do the following.

  • Register on the UnisaIR and get a password.
  • Send an e-mail to your Personal Librarian with your Department name and the collection you would like to submit your article to.
  • The Personal Librarian will contact the UnisaIR Collection Developer to provide you with submission rights to the collection.
