What is Turnitin ?

Turnitin is a web-based teaching tool used for students to prevent plagiarism by checking for originality  www.turnitin.com

 

Access to Turnitin

 

  Staff

Software licenses are allocated to staff members at the official Unisa Turnitin training sessions.

CAES staff members can send their Turnitin access requests to Ms Marthie Van Wyk vwykmj@unisa.ac.za

  

  Students

All postgraduate students (incl Honours) can submit their work directly to Turnitin.

Students automatically given access from Turnitin once their respective supervisors/lecturers are registered.

 What is iThenticate ?

iThenticate provides web-based plagiarism prevention services to researchers, publishers, and other professionals around the world www.ithenticate.com

Kindly note that this software is only available to staff members who publish, journal editors and researchers (this is NOT for students).
